Why did you enter the Carmarthenshire Business Awards 2024?
We entered the Carmarthenshire Business Awards to raise awareness of our existence among other businesses and to use the opportunity for promotion. We wanted to recognise and celebrate the hard work of our dedicated staff.
How did you hear about the awards?
We saw it on Linked In.
How did you find the interview process for the awards?
It was fine, we have been in very similar settings before so was happy with the set up.
What did winning mean for you or your business?
We are thrilled to have won two awards at the Carmarthenshire Business Awards. This recognition highlights our commitment to excellence and the dedication of our incredible team. We’re proud to share this achievement with everyone who has supported us along the way.
What did you think of the awards ceremony?
It was well attended, the host was excellent and the evening went smoothly. The reception drinks area was different, an area that I hadn’t visited before at Parc y Scarlets.
What’s been a challenge for you or your business during the last year and how did you overcome it?
We have had several challenges, like others I’m sure. We’re at a critical stage of our business, we need to scale up the business so funding is critical for us as well our own investment.
What’s been a highlight for you or your business over the last year and why?
We were able to develop our back end plant to produce fibre pellets that can be used for the end markets.
What are your goals for 2025?
Scale up the business and move to a bigger site.
What’s the best thing about running a business in Carmarthenshire?
A sense of belonging, a sense of community and providing local people the opportunity to live and work in area of their choice. Innovation is critical for us so we are providing staff with the opportunity to develop new skills.
